About the Role
Asiacom Americas is seeking an experienced Data Center Test & Acceptance Engineer to join our global operations team. This position plays a critical role in managing and executing testing and acceptance activities across our overseas data centers in North America.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems, hands-on experience in data center commissioning and quality assurance, and excellent cross-functional communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate on-site testing and acceptance for overseas data center projects.
- Supervise and manage third-party testing vendors to ensure testing aligns with technical requirements and contract specifications.
- Identify and resolve on-site technical and operational issues quickly to maintain project timelines.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for major equipment and systems to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Perform EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) checks and ensure all testing activities meet applicable safety and quality standards.
- Review vendor-provided documentation such as BOMs, engineering drawings, test reports, and certifications.
- Conduct quality control inspections and manage project risk assessments throughout the test and acceptance process.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders through on-site supervision and remote meetings to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in data center testing, commissioning, or operations.
- Hands-on experience with data center systems including electrical, HVAC, low-voltage, and fire suppression systems.
- Strong knowledge of testing protocols, verification processes, and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with project management, quality control, and safety documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
