Environmental Technician
H2E, Incorporated is an environmental engineering and consulting company founded in 2009, headquartered in Spearfish, SD, with additional offices in Gillette and Rock Springs, WY, Greeley and Denver, CO, and Fort Worth, TX. Our clients are primarily oil and gas companies and other energy companies requiring environmental regulatory compliance assistance.
H2E is seeking a motivated Environmental Technician based in the Fort Worth, TX area to support our environmental consulting services. This position is a key hire as we continue to build our Texas presence, and we are looking for an individual who can operate independently and take initiative in both field and office settings.
As a growing environmental engineering/consulting firm, H2E offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects supporting oil and gas clients throughout the southern United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with environmental and regulatory compliance projects
- Support spill prevention, control, and countermeasure (SPCC) compliance
- Conduct leak detection and repair (LDAR) surveys and air compliance activities
- Assist with Phase I environmental site assessments (ESA) and due diligence projects
- Perform soil and water sampling
- Collect, document, and manage field data accurately and efficiently
- Communicate regularly with project managers and team members
- Perform field and office tasks with minimal supervision
Position Overview:
This role will primarily involve independent field work throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New Mexico, with additional office responsibilities completed from the Fort Worth, Texas office or remote location. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable working alone, managing their schedule, and representing the company professionally in the field.
Candidates must be detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. This position plays an important role in helping H2E establish a stronger footprint in the southern United States region.
Physical & Travel Requirements:
- Ability to walk across uneven terrain and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds as needed
- Clean driving record required
- Experience operating 4WD vehicles in all conditions preferred
- Regular travel throughout Texas is expected
- Additional travel may be required across Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New Mexico depending on project needs
- Occasional overnight travel should be expected
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field
- 0–2 years of experience in environmental consulting or related field
- Strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
