Globetrotters Engineering Corporation (GEC) is seeking Civil Engineers at various levels of experience, including Junior Civil Engineers to Senior Civil Design Project Managers. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil engineering design, transportation infrastructure, project management, and/or construction-related projects. Responsibilities will be tailored to the candidate’s level of experience and technical expertise.
Under the direction of senior management, the Civil Engineer will perform a variety of engineering, design, project management, and technical responsibilities, which may include.
- Prepare and review civil engineering designs, plans, specifications, calculations, and reports.
- Perform engineering analysis, site visits, inspections, and field investigations.
- Support or lead project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, agencies, and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and support proposals, estimates, and business development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Senior-Level / Project Management Responsibilities May Include:
- Lead civil engineering projects from planning and design through completion.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverable.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Review designs and lead coordination with agencies, contractors, and consultants.
- Mentor staff, manage project risks, and support business development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is a plus.
- Illinois Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
- Proficiency in MicroStation, Open Roads Design, and AutoCAD. Experience working with Phase I and II projects civil engineering projects.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, projects teams, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site in the office five days per week

Salary range is $85,000 – $200,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
