Solutions Architect – Secure Products & AI-Driven Development

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the technical architecture, design, and delivery of secure enterprise software products.
This position serves as the technical owner for one or more software products, bridging business stakeholders, product teams, and software engineers to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable, and secure technology solutions.
The Solutions Architect will design enterprise applications and integrations using AWS, TypeScript, and modern software architecture practices, while incorporating AI-assisted development tools and agentic AI-driven development lifecycle (AIDLC) methodologies to accelerate delivery.
This role also functions as a Technical Product Owner, helping establish product priorities, maintain technical backlogs, guide implementation, and ensure solutions align with business objectives, security requirements, and long-term product strategies.
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on architecture and software engineering expertise with the ability to lead technical product decisions and deliver secure, enterprise-grade applications.
Key Responsibilities
Solutions Architecture & Technical Design
- Serve as the technical architect and owner for one or more enterprise software products.
- Design scalable, secure, maintainable applications and integration solutions.
- Develop enterprise application architectures utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Apply strong system-design principles to create reliable, high-performing software solutions.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements, specifications, and architectural designs.
- Break down complex requirements into actionable development tasks and implementation plans.
- Define technical standards, architectural patterns, and development approaches.
- Guide engineering teams through solution design, implementation, testing, and delivery.
- Evaluate technical tradeoffs involving performance, scalability, maintainability, security, and cost.
- Support architecture reviews and technical decision-making throughout the software development lifecycle.
Secure Product Development
- Design and support security-conscious enterprise software products.
- Incorporate security, reliability, and data protection considerations into application and integration architecture.
- Promote secure-by-design principles throughout product development.
- Collaborate with development and security stakeholders to identify technical risks and architectural vulnerabilities.
- Help ensure software products meet applicable organizational security standards and technical requirements.
- Support the development of secure, dependable solutions suitable for enterprise and mission-critical environments.
- Balance product functionality, usability, performance, and security throughout the development lifecycle.
Cloud & Application Engineering
- Architect cloud-based applications and services using AWS.
- Apply TypeScript and modern software development practices to application and integration design.
- Guide the development of APIs, application components, and system integrations.
- Establish scalable integration patterns between enterprise applications and services.
- Provide technical direction on application architecture, deployment approaches, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with developers to resolve architectural and implementation challenges.
AI-Assisted Development & AIDLC
- Incorporate AI-assisted development tools into software engineering workflows.
- Leverage tools such as Claude, OpenAI Codex, AWS Kiro, or comparable solutions to improve development efficiency.
- Apply agentic AI and AI-driven development lifecycle (AIDLC) practices to accelerate software design, coding, testing, and delivery.
- Evaluate opportunities to automate development activities while maintaining engineering quality and security.
- Guide teams in the effective and responsible use of AI-assisted software development.
- Support continuous improvement of development processes through emerging AI technologies.
Technical Product Ownership
- Act as a technical product owner for assigned software products or portfolios.
- Maintain and prioritize technical product backlogs.
- Translate business objectives into technical features, requirements, and development priorities.
- Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and establish technical direction.
- Coordinate with development teams to ensure successful delivery of product enhancements.
- Manage technical dependencies and help resolve implementation challenges.
- Support product lifecycle planning, technical modernization, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure technical decisions remain aligned with business priorities and long-term architecture objectives.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Serve as a technical liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Provide technical guidance to developers and delivery teams.
- Participate in solution reviews, technical planning, and implementation discussions.
- Independently resolve moderately complex technical issues and escalate more complex challenges as appropriate.
- Support consistent delivery of high-quality, secure software products.
Required Qualifications
- Professional experience in Solutions Architecture, Software Architecture, or senior-level software engineering.
- Strong experience designing enterprise applications and integration solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Strong experience with TypeScript and modern application development practices.
- Demonstrated understanding of software architecture and system-design principles.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs.
- Ability to decompose complex business requirements into actionable engineering deliverables.
- Experience guiding development teams through implementation and delivery.
- Understanding of secure software design principles and enterprise application security considerations.
- Experience working with technical backlogs, product requirements, and development priorities.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and workflows.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing or supporting secure enterprise software products.
- Experience with Claude, Codex, AWS Kiro, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
