About Us
The Middle Six is a Milwaukee-based sales consulting and training firm. We help small business owners and growing sales teams build, fill, and sustain their pipeline, because we believe sales is equal parts art and science.
We’re a HubSpot Solutions Partner with three teams: Marketing, HubSpot, and Sales. You’ll join the Marketing Pod and report to our Director of Marketing. Our clients range from trucking and upfitting companies to consumer brands.
The Role & Responsibilities
We’re looking for a part-time W-2 (10-20 hours a week) hands-on marketer who loves building websites and running paid campaigns on Meta, Google, and LinkedIn. You’ll take projects from launch through optimization, track your time against client work, and turn performance data into clear recommendations.
You’ll shape paid ad strategy with our Marketing Pod and own the results. We want you to speak up, with data, when something isn’t working. Everyone on our team has a seat at the table.
Website and Landing Pages:
- Build, refresh, and maintain client websites in WordPress, including themes, page builders, plugins, updates, and backups
- Build and optimize landing pages in WordPress and HubSpot for paid campaigns, with clear calls to action, fast load times, and HubSpot forms that route leads correctly
- Make on-page SEO and AEO fixes from our website audits (titles, meta descriptions, schema, internal links, and page speed)
- Set up and test tracking: Google Tag Manager, GA4, Meta Pixel and Conversions API, LinkedIn Insight Tag, and HubSpot tracking code and forms
- Handle site migrations, domain and DNS changes, and basic troubleshooting
Ad Campaign Strategy and Management:
- Build the paid ad strategy for each client: goals, channel mix, audiences, budget, offers, and a testing plan tied to their revenue goals
- Build and launch campaigns on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Display, and YouTube)
- Run LinkedIn Ads for B2B clients, including Sponsored Content, Lead Gen Forms, and audience targeting by company, industry, and job title
- Research keywords, build audiences, and set up retargeting
- Write ad copy, coordinate creative, and run A/B tests on ads and landing pages
- Manage budgets and pacing, and optimize weekly toward cost per lead, return on ad spend, and lead quality
- Connect ad leads to HubSpot so we can follow them from first click to closed deal
Analytics, ROI, and HubSpot Reporting
- Measure return on every campaign: cost per lead, cost per acquisition, return on ad spend, and revenue traced back to ad spend
- Link Meta, Google, and LinkedIn Ads to HubSpot so leads, deals, and campaign ROI show up in HubSpot reports and dashboards
- Use what the data shows to shift budget toward what’s working and recommend next steps
Client Work
- Pull monthly performance numbers for client reports, tied to each client’s revenue and lead goals
- Walk your director through results and changes, and join client calls when needed
- Support add-on projects, such as Google Business Profile optimization
Requirements
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience building websites and running paid campaigns, at an agency or in-house
- Availability during regular business hours for occasional client calls. These are scheduled in advance.
- Proven work in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads, with budgets you managed and results you can show
- Experience planning ad campaign strategy, not just running campaigns someone else planned
- Comfort with analytics: you can show the ROI of a campaign and explain it in plain words
- Strong WordPress skills: themes, page builders (Elementor, Divi, or similar), plugins, site speed, security, and backups, plus enough HTML and CSS to fix what the builder can’t
- Working knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking
- Clear writing for ad copy, landing pages, and client updates
- Strong organization with time tracking and deadlines across several clients
- HubSpot experience, linking Meta, Google, and LinkedIn Ads to HubSpot for attribution and ROI reporting preferred.
- LinkedIn Campaign Manager experience with B2B lead generation preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- This is a W-2 employee position; contractor and agency submissions will not be considered.
- Milwaukee-area candidates are preferred, though qualified remote U.S. applicants will be considered.
Benefits
- Part-time: paid time off starts accruing when you join.
- Full-time: after one year with the company, The Middle Six contributes 3% of your pay to your 401(k), whether or not you contribute.
