Role Overview
eNGINE is seeking a Cybersecurity Project Manager to coordinate several high-priority security initiatives for an eNGINE customer. This role will help drive the organization’s HITRUST certification efforts while managing concurrent projects involving Identity and Access Management (IAM),
Privileged Access Management (PAM), and a transition from Fortinet to Proofpoint.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience managing cybersecurity projects, the organizational skills to keep multiple initiatives moving forward, and the flexibility to work within a security team that values practical execution over rigid project management methodologies. You should be comfortable bringing structure, accountability, and visibility to complex initiatives without forcing every project into a traditional Agile framework.
Responsibilities
- Manage project plans, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple concurrent cybersecurity initiatives.
- Coordinate activities supporting the organization’s HITRUST certification, working with technical teams and stakeholders to track readiness, documentation, remediation efforts, and outstanding requirements.
- Oversee project coordination for IAM and PAM program development, helping teams manage implementation activities, dependencies, and key milestones.
- Drive project execution for the transition from Fortinet to Proofpoint, coordinating stakeholders, schedules, and technical deliverables.
- Maintain clear communication across cybersecurity teams, leadership, and other stakeholders regarding progress, risks, blockers, and decisions.
- Identify project risks and interdependencies early, helping teams prioritize work and resolve issues before they impact delivery.
- Establish practical project tracking and reporting practices that provide visibility without introducing unnecessary process overhead.
- Keep multiple workstreams organized and moving forward while adapting to shifting security priorities and technical requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing projects within cybersecurity, information security, or IT security environments.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously, including competing priorities and shared resources.
- Familiarity with security compliance initiatives, audit readiness, or certification programs; experience supporting HITRUST certification is highly desirable.
- Understanding of IAM and PAM concepts, implementations, or program development.
- Experience managing security technology implementations, migrations, or vendor transitions.
- Strong communication, organization, risk management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently, maintain momentum, and bring structure to projects in evolving technical environments.
- Availability to work a schedule aligned with Eastern Time (EST/ET).
Preferred Experience
- Direct involvement in HITRUST certification or other healthcare security and compliance initiatives.
- Exposure to identity governance, access controls, privileged account security, and related cybersecurity programs.
- Experience coordinating security platform transitions, including firewall, email security, or other enterprise security technologies.
- Familiarity with Fortinet and/or Proofpoint environments.
- Experience working with cybersecurity teams that use flexible project management practices rather than a prescribed Agile or waterfall methodology.
