Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our property management team. This role provides hands-on experience across Accounts Payable/Receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting, with opportunities for growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

· Accounts Payable / Receivable

· Process vendor invoices via AvidXchange and maintain the Avid inbox

· Communicate with vendors regarding open balances; review and reconcile vendor statements

· Record payroll entries for properties

· Deposit and record paper checks received daily

· Manage utility uploads, maintain login information, and ensure timely payments

· Banking & Reconciliations

· Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations

· Process tenant security deposit refunds for move-outs

· Administrative & Other

· Open and route incoming mail to appropriate staff

· Maintain and order office supplies

· Process annual 1099s

· Support ad hoc accounting projects as needed

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

· 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management

· Experience with Rent Manager, Yardi, or similar real estate software

· Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills

· Notary certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months

· Salary range: $45,000 – $55,000, commensurate with experience.
