Artist Assistant (On-Site) – Flakeb00k

Bushwick, Brooklyn | Fridays 1–3PM | $20/hr

Flakeb00k is an evolving art practice working across painting, books, installations, merch, and experimental fabrication — blending street culture with physical craft and digital process.

We’re looking for an Artist Assistant to work on-site Fridays from 1–3PM inside the studio.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to be around the process.

What You’ll Be Doing

Assisting with artwork production + framing
Documenting projects (photo/video)
Supporting studio installations + builds
Light admin + marketing support
Working with tools like:
Laser engraving
CNC milling
Fabric / material-based design
General studio upkeep (cleaning, organizing, resetting space)

Requirements

Must be able to commute to Bushwick, Brooklyn
Must have a genuine passion for art, making, and creative culture
Interest in hands-on fabrication + experimental processes
Respect for the Flakeb00k aesthetic and creative direction
Reliable, on time, and ready to work

Compensation

$20/hour
2 hours per week (Fridays 1–3PM)
Potential for more hours / involvement if it’s a strong fit
