Digital Marketing and Online Sales Manager

Stu’s Home Improvement Outlet – Dubuque, Iowa

Stu’s Home Improvement Outlet is looking for a hands-on Digital Marketing Manager who knows how to turn Facebook, Marketplace, paid advertising, video, and digital leads into customers walking through our doors and revenue at the register.

This is NOT simply a social media posting position.

We are looking for someone with a strong sales mindset who understands that likes, views, followers, and cheap leads are great—but the ultimate measurement of success is SALES.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

You will be responsible for growing traffic, leads, and revenue through our digital channels, including:

Facebook Marketplace – posting inventory consistently and aggressively
Facebook and Instagram business pages
Meta/Facebook paid advertising
Creating, launching, monitoring, and improving ad campaigns
Developing promotions designed to generate immediate store traffic
Creating and posting engaging videos
Editing short-form videos, Reels, and promotional content
Helping develop TikTok, YouTube, and other video channels
Photographing and promoting new inventory
Writing strong sales-focused ad copy
Responding to Facebook and Marketplace messages
Following up with internet leads quickly
Turning online conversations into appointments and store visits
Working directly with the sales team to convert digital leads
Tracking where leads come from and which campaigns actually produce revenue
Retargeting previous customers and leads
Promoting financing, special events, new inventory, clearance sales, and limited-time offers
Keeping online inventory and advertisements current

THIS IS A REVENUE-GENERATING POSITION

We aren't looking for someone who simply says:

"The ad got a lot of views."

We want someone who asks:

How many leads did we generate?
How many customers came through the door?
How many appointments were set?
How many sales did we close?
How much revenue did the campaign produce?

You should be comfortable having your performance measured against traffic, appointments, personal sales, lead conversion, and revenue growth.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate has:

Proven sales experience
Digital marketing and social media experience
Strong knowledge of Facebook and Facebook Marketplace
Experience with Meta/Facebook Ads Manager
Experience creating and editing video content
Ability to create engaging content without needing an outside agency
Strong copywriting and promotional skills
Experience responding to and closing internet leads
Understanding of CRM and lead follow-up
Strong communication and closing skills
Ability to analyze advertising performance and make changes quickly
An aggressive, competitive, results-oriented mindset
Ability to work independently and take ownership of results

Retail experience in appliances, furniture, flooring, home improvement, automotive, mattresses, electronics, or other high-ticket sales is a major plus.

THE PERSON WE WANT

We want someone who walks into the store, sees 50 refrigerators that need to move, and immediately starts thinking:

What video can I make?
What offer can I create?
What should I put on Marketplace?
Who can we retarget?
What ad should we run?
How do I get people through the door TODAY?

You won't wait for someone to hand you a marketing calendar every morning. You'll bring ideas to the table, test them, measure the results, and keep improving.

Most importantly, you understand SALES.

You should be comfortable talking with customers, setting appointments, following up with leads, and stepping onto the sales floor to help close business.
