The Financial Analyst will partner with operating managers and staff to drive business performance through detailed data analysis. This role involves working closely with accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales, operating expenses, and other reporting tools to record transactions and track ongoing business results.
You will review, reconcile, and analyze various financial accounts, collaborating with managers to identify gaps and develop solutions. A strong understanding of operational processes, their financial impact, and the ability to spot trends will be key to monitoring and improving business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain records for fixed assets, daily cash reports, and weekly financial reports.
- Prepare invoice batches for data entry and process payment invoices in the system.
- Manage inventory levels and oversee weekly check runs.
- Prepare and mail supplier checks; update and maintain supplier records.
- Process invoices and collections; reconcile and analyze revenue, bad debt, and collections.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies through data analysis and reporting to management.
- Prepare month-end reports and perform additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Up to 2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Must live in Illinois.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to think conceptually, work independently, and manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
