Company and Job Description:
Greenmont Group is a real estate private equity firm headquartered in New York City which targets equity and debt investment opportunities throughout the United States within the office, retail, industrial, and multifamily asset classes. We are seeking an Investments Analyst to support the firm’s investment activities, reporting directly to the VP of Investments, while also supporting the firm’s Managing Partners and other senior members of the Investments team.
Responsibilities:
Investments:
- Create, review, and present detailed financial models to support the firm’s investments in office, retail, industrial, and multifamily asset classes through the use of Microsoft Excel and Argus.
- Assist with investment due diligence, including, but not limited to, review of leases, analysis of historical financial statements, conducting market research, and managing broker correspondence.
- Prepare institutional investment memos for the members of the Investments team using Microsoft PowerPoint and other business software geared towards presentations and reporting.
- Draft letters of intent for potential investments.
- Maintain and update deal pipeline database.
Asset and Portfolio Management:
- Work with members of the Investments team to analyze the viability of new leasing, capital expenditure initiatives, and potential disposition or recapitalizations.
- Manage internal financial models for existing portfolio to review financial performance.
- Assist members of the firm with reports and/or requests from investors and lenders.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
The Investments Analyst will ideally hold the following qualifications and be required to be experienced in the following areas:
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or any other business-focused field is preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or real estate, ideally in a real estate investment or asset management focused role, with familiarity in office, retail, industrial and multifamily asset types and a fundamental understanding of real estate investment analysis, financing, and capitalization structures.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel; adequate experience in other Microsoft Office platforms (Word, PowerPoint, Power BI) and Argus Enterprise. Familiarity with AI and Proptech is a plus.
- Commitment to a lean, hard-working team and comfortability with wearing many hats.
- Strong project management skills, communication skills, and work ethic.
