NPI Manufacturing Engineer
Hire Type: Contract-to-Hire (plus full benefits)
Pay: $75K-$80K
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday
Location: West Columbia, SC
Travel: 3 weeks in Ireland (40–60 hrs/week during travel period)
We are seeking NPI Manufacturing Engineers to support new product builds for a major client in West Columbia, SC. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help establish and improve manufacturing processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and directly influence the success of new product introductions. The position includes international travel to observe overseas setups and replicate production line builds domestically.
Responsibilities
- Support and improve manufacturing line layouts and process flows
- Analyze and enhance existing product designs for manufacturability (DFM)
- Travel internationally to observe production setup and apply findings locally
- Interpret and manage BOMs (Bills of Materials) and tooling requirements
- Create and refine production processes and documentation
- Utilize CAD software for process and layout planning
- Collaborate with internal teams to address technical challenges and meet project deadlines
- Manage multiple NPI projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- 1–5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of process development, tooling, and BOMs
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage tight timelines
- Willingness to travel internationally for initial training/setup
