The Opportunity
The Vice President will be a senior leader within the portfolio operations team, responsible for driving transformational change across distressed and underperforming businesses. This individual will work side-by-side with C-suite executives, boards, and stakeholders to design and execute comprehensive turnaround strategies. The role requires both strategic vision and operational rigor—balancing high-level problem solving with hands-on leadership to deliver measurable impact. Unlike traditional restructuring shops, this platform emphasizes operational excellence and fiduciary stewardship over court-driven processes, offering a distinctive opportunity to influence outcomes at the ownership and operator level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee complex turnaround and restructuring engagements across multiple portfolio companies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management teams and boards, identifying key value drivers, diagnosing root causes of underperformance, and crafting actionable solutions.
- Drive execution of liquidity optimization, operational streamlining, and organizational redesign initiatives.
- Manage board-level and investor communications, delivering clear, concise, and data-driven recommendations.
- Oversee development and use of performance dashboards, KPI frameworks, and reporting tools to enable transparency and accountability.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams—coaching junior professionals while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Partner with senior leadership on business development, capital deployment decisions, and the continued evolution of the firm’s advisory and investment platform.
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of experience in restructuring, turnaround consulting, private equity operations, investment banking, or management consulting, with a proven track record of leading operational improvement initiatives.
- Deep financial and operational expertise, including liquidity management, cost optimization, and performance measurement.
- Demonstrated leadership and executive presence, with the ability to influence and gain buy-in from senior stakeholders in high-pressure environments.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience leading board and lender discussions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications (CFA, CPA, CTP) strongly preferred.
