Description
Position Purpose: Primary responsibility is assisting commercial lenders/assistants in the ongoing monitoring of the Bank's commercial loan portfolio. This position is ideal for a teammate with a strong desire to learn more about the commercial line of business, lending and portfolio management. It ultimately supports Commercial Lenders in underwriting loan requests, preparing credit memos, asset-based monitoring, financial statement reporting, and management of the commercial portfolio.
What you'll do
• Accurately and timely completion of financial statements spreads
• Manage the on-boarding of ABL borrowers, including providing templates, and tickler/covenant creation.
• Monitor assed backed lines of credit. Process, analyze and evaluate client reports, review the content for irregularities and/or discrepancies and follow up with the client and Loan Officer
• Manage and monitor bank margin report.
• Collect financials, spread, and maintain bank Mainstreet loan program reports.
• Responsible for monitoring, creating, and updating required reporting.
• Assist with ongoing collection and analysis of tax returns, personal financial statements, rent rolls, and other underwriting items
• Assist loan officers in underwriting for new credits as well as renewal of maturing credits.
• Participate in and help prepare for calls with customers and loan officers.
• Participate in special projects to aid with the continuous improvement of portfolio management.
• Provide assistance to prospective and existing clients via various means of communication, to include in person meetings at client sites.
• Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with Bank of Clarke County BSA/AML Policy and Procedures.
Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/work experience
• Three or more years of experience in a banking or financial services environment
• Knowledge of financial institution concepts, practices and regulations
• Familiarity with and/or willingness to learn how to interpret financial statements, tax returns and cash flow analysis
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills necessary to provide detailed information and courteous responses to teammates and customers
• Intermediate computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and loan scoring applications
• Working knowledge of nCino is preferred
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Progressive level of lending experience

Working Conditions :
The individual will be required to be available after normal working hours. Business travel may be necessary to meet with vendors and attend training opportunities.
