We are looking for a Physical Therapist to specialize in Women's Health. If not already taken women's health classes we will provide the schooling. Hourly rate will be determined by experience. Benefits include: 4 week PTO, health insurance, Aflac cancer policy, 401K.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess patients with pelvic floor dysfunction and other women's health conditions to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, soft tissue massage, and prescribed exercises to improve muscle function, alleviate pain, and restore mobility.
- Address concerns related to pregnancy and postpartum, such as musculoskeletal pain, diastasis rectus abdominis, delivery preparation, and postpartum healing.
- Treat pelvic floor conditionslike urinary or fecal incontinence, chronic pelvic pain, and pelvic organ prolapse using exercises, biofeedback, and bladder retraining.
- Manage post-surgical issues, including pain and scarring following gynecological or breast cancer surgery.
- Educate and empower patients on proper body mechanics, self-care strategies, and therapeutic exercises to manage symptoms and prevent future issues.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurse practitioners, RN's to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Document patient carehistory, goals, progress, and care plans accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Education: A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program is required.
- Licensure: A valid, active physical therapy license in the state of MS.
- Specialized training: Experience or advanced certification in women's health or pelvic floor therapy is preferred.
