Job Summary
The Precast Structural Design Engineer is responsible for the structural analysis and design of precast concrete elements and complete precast systems, ensuring safety, and compliance with international codes and project requirements. This role brings technical expertise to develop cost-effective and innovative precast solutions while supporting drafting, design, and production/ erection teams.
The Engineer will be responsible for:
-Perform structural analysis and design of individual precast elements (slabs, beams, columns, walls, stairs, etc.) and full precast buildings using ETABS.
-Prepare and review structural calculations, design reports, and technical documentation.
-Coordinate with architects, consultants, and drafting teams to ensure constructability, accuracy, and integration with overall project requirements.
-Provide technical guidance on connection design, lifting, handling, transport, and erection methods.
-Ensure compliance with international standards (ACI, Eurocode, BS, etc.) and client specifications.
-Use Revit for 3D modeling, design coordination, and BIM integration.
-Review and validate shop drawings, resolving technical queries during design, production, and site execution.
-Knowledge of GRC structural design considered an advantage.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering.
-Proven experience in precast concrete structural design.
-Proficiency in ETABS for structural design and Revit for BIM/modeling.
