We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project costs, preparing detailed cost estimates, and providing financial insights to support decision-making processes. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and the ability to utilize various accounting software and ERP systems effectively.
Responsibilities
- The Cost Estimator will analyze project specifications and requirements to develop accurate cost estimates.
- The Cost Estimator will prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for management review.
- The Cost Estimator will conduct cash flow analysis to ensure project viability and profitability.
- The Cost Estimator will collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather data for budgeting and forecasting.
- The Cost Estimator will maintain compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations in all financial reporting.
- The Cost Estimator will perform account reconciliation, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- The Cost Estimator will utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or SAP for financial tracking and reporting.
- The Cost Estimator will conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting tasks.
- The Cost Estimator will interpret financial reports to provide insights on cost management and technical accounting issues.
Skills
- Proficiency in financial report writing and interpretation.
- Strong knowledge of cost management principles and budgeting techniques.
- Experience with cash flow analysis, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with public accounting practices and corporate accounting standards.
- Ability to perform double-entry bookkeeping and understand debits & credits.
- Experience with data collection methodologies for accurate financial reporting.
- Proficiency in using various financial software tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage, Xero).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in account analysis and reconciliation tasks.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
