Job Title: Design Product Specialist
Overview
The Design Product Specialist acts as the bridge between homeowners, remote designers, and installation teams. This role is focused on guiding clients through the entire design and build experience—from the first scan to final walkthrough—ensuring clarity, comfort, and confidence at every step.
Unlike traditional sales roles, this position is centered on experience, education, and coordination, providing a seamless handoff between design, engineering, permitting, and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the design process.
- Perform on-site LiDAR/iPad scans, take photos, and document existing conditions for accurate design inputs.
- Communicate homeowner needs and feedback directly to remote design and engineering teams.
- Educate clients on design concepts, material choices, and functionality in plain language.
- Coordinate key milestones: HOA approvals, inspections, measurements, and installation readiness.
- Provide homeowners with basic training and guidance on caring for and maintaining their new structures.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate and complete before handoff to permitting or installation.
- Act as the client advocate, identifying issues early and ensuring design intent aligns with homeowner expectations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to explain technical concepts in a clear, client-friendly way.
- Experience in design, construction, architecture, or related fields preferred.
- Comfort with technology: LiDAR scanning devices, tablets, cloud file systems, and digital twin tools.
- Attention to detail with the ability to capture precise field data.
- Organized and proactive—able to manage multiple clients/projects simultaneously.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on client satisfaction.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
