Job Summary
The Design Assistant supports lead designers through all phases of the design process, including research, sample sourcing, vendor communication, and project coordination. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient project execution, allowing senior designers to focus on creative direction and overall design vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with project research and concept development
- Manage vendor communication and scheduling to support project timelines
- Coordinate with vendors and track orders to ensure timely deliveries
- Source materials and samples aligned with project goals and budgets
- Prepare design presentations, mood boards, and project schedules per Lead Designer’s direction
- Maintain and organize project specific design libraries and material samples
- Support budget tracking and administrative documentation, including:
- Physical binders
- Project bins
- Digital presentations
- Digital document organization
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in Interior Design or currently enrolled in an Interior Design program
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans
- Knowledge of Quick Books
- Experience with data entry and database management
- Proficiency in managing PDFs and Google Suite tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and professional demeanor
- Great organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Strong attention to detail and deadline-oriented mindset
- Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks on a daily/hourly basis
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Able to run errands using company vehicle as needed
- Must have a valid Florida driver’s license
This is an in-person position based in Delray Beach, FL. Remote work is not available for this role.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
