Business Development Executive – Staffing (Oil & Gas, Manufacturing & Healthcare)

Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Business Development Executive with a proven track record in staffing sales. This role is focused on client acquisition and revenue growth by building relationships with decision-makers in refineries, EPC contractors, fabrication shops, hospitals, and long-term care facilities.
You’ll be responsible for bringing in new contracts, securing vendor registrations, and expanding Thusa’s footprint in both sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage new clients in Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Healthcare sectors.
- Secure vendor registrations on portals like ISNetworld, Avetta, and MSP platforms.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate regional facilities (TX, LA, NM, WV, PA for Oil & Gas; regional nursing homes, LTACs, rural hospitals for Healthcare).
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, proposal, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Collaborate with recruiters and account managers to ensure smooth client onboarding and staffing delivery.
- Provide weekly sales pipeline reports and maintain activity in CRM.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in staffing sales / business development.
- Strong network of decision-makers in Oil & Gas/Manufacturing OR Healthcare staffing (bonus if both).
- Proven track record of closing contracts $250K+ annualized.
- Ability to navigate vendor management systems and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with a hunter mentality — driven by results, not just activity.
Compensation & Growth
- Base Retainer: $3,500/month (to secure commitment).
- Commission: 5–10% of gross margin on all new business.
- Performance Bonus: $2,500 for every multi-site or $500K+ annualized client signed.
- Unlimited earning potential — strong performers can grow into VP of BD role within 12–18 months.
