Commercial Credit Analyst - Bakersfield Ming
JOB SUMMARY:
The Commercial Credit Analyst will provide support for the Director of Underwriting and Portfolio Management. The role will help monitor the commercial banking portfolio. This individual will play a key role in calculating borrowing bases to ensure that the borrower's collateral is sufficient to support their outstanding balance on their credit line, and monitoring the borrowers' compliance with the terms outlined in their business loan agreement. The role will be critical in monitoring the Bank's commercial loan portfolio and identifying borrowers that are experiencing a deterioration in financial performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Perform detailed calculations of borrowing cases by assessing the value of various forms of collateral (accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, etc.)
• Apply advance rates and other relevant factors to determine maximum loan amounts for borrowers and update maximum borrowing limits with Loan Boarding
• Monitor tickler reports and identify borrowers that are delinquent with financial reporting and/or are in violation of financial covenants
• Review portfolio reports and analyze trends in concentrations in loan types, concentration in industries, delinquencies, risk ratings, or any other requested data point
• Assist in tracking delinquencies in the portfolio and ensure Relations Managers and Portfolio Managers are proactively engaging with borrowers as soon as a loan becomes delinquent
• Assist in tracking maturities to ensure loans are renewed or extended prior to maturity
• Assist with preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring that the electronic credit files are complete and any financial reporting or financial covenant violations have been identified and reported
• Complete any special projects or tasks assigned by Executive Management
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Two years of college with one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
