Position Overview
The Sage X3 ERP Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, integration, and ongoing support of the Sage X3 ERP system. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability of the ERP platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support the Sage X3 ERP environment including application servers, databases, and third-party integrations.
- Design and implement enhancements, customizations, and module configurations based on business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system performance, functionality, and integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, supply chain, manufacturing, etc.) to improve workflows and business processes.
- Coordinate system upgrades, patching, and testing efforts.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and security protocols within Sage X3.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
- Provide end-user support and training as needed.
- Work with Sage X3 partners and vendors to resolve technical issues or implement new modules/features.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Sage X3 ERP administration, implementation, or support.
- Strong understanding of Sage X3 architecture, including module configuration, workflows, and reporting.
- Proficient in SQL, Crystal Reports, and general database management.
- Experience with integrations using web services, APIs, or middleware.
- Familiarity with business processes in manufacturing, distribution, finance, or supply chain.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred:
- Experience with Sage X3 version 11 or higher.
- Sage X3 certification or training.
- Experience with Power BI, EDI, or automation tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based or hybrid ERP environments.
