We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Specialist to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Design and implement data models and databases to support various applications.
- Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
- Utilize SQL for querying databases and performing data analysis.
- Analyze complex datasets using tools such as Tableau and Python to generate reports and visualizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Implement machine learning algorithms to enhance data-driven decision-making processes.
- Manage cloud-based data storage solutions using AWS.
- Work with Hadoop and Spark for big data processing and analysis.
- Maintain documentation of database design, ETL processes, and analysis methodologies.
- Stay updated on industry trends in data management, databases, and analytics.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in SQL, with experience in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java and Python for data manipulation.
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of linked data principles and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets effectively.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
- Understanding of database design principles and best practices.
- Proficient in Bash (Unix shell) for scripting tasks related to data processing.
