About the job:
We are seeking to hire an Analyst, Investment in Real Estate to support our investments team. The individuals in these positions will work with the investment team on all aspects of sourcing, underwriting, operation/value-add, and closing real estate investments.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market analysis and monitor trends that could impact investments;
- Stayed well connected by performing research on markets, asset classes, and industries to support investment recommendations;
- Evaluate and underwrite potential transactions from a diverse pipeline of different asset types and investment focus including but not limited to office, retail, student housing, senior living, and etc.;
- Prepare and update financial models in Excel and/or Argus for existing assets and prospective investments, including evaluating and transaction structuring;
- Prepare internal and external presentations and memos regarding existing investments and proposed new investment vehicles.
- Prepare and present financial models, initial deal summaries, internal investment committee memos and presentations, using strong computer and financial modeling skills and creativity.
- Prepare closing documents and reports for new and current loans and investments, ensuring business terms are accurately reflected in deal documents.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
- 2+ years of experience in real estate investment analysis, acquisitions, or real estate asset management;
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in real estate or specific industrial field, finance, business, accounting, economics, or related field.
- High level of competence required in financial modeling utilizing ARGUS Enterprise and Excel software
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with critical thinking skills;
- Ability to function both in a team-oriented setting and independently
- Bilingual English and Mandarin preferred
- Proactive learner, and with strong sense of personal motivation, responsibility and ownership with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
