Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Instructional Design Manager witha strong background in instructional technology to lead our team of professional Instructional Designers and Subject Matter Experts. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in instructional technology and online learning design who is passionate about delivering high-quality, standards-aligned educational experiences for students in grades K–12.
Salary Range: $75k to $85K Full time Contract to hire.
In this role, you will oversee a team of professional Instructional Designers and Subject Matter Experts, ensuring that all curriculum content is instructionally sound, visually engaging, accessible, and delivered on time and within budget. You will collaborate closely with our Technology and Project Management teams to ensure seamless integration of content and tools across multiple learning platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of K-12 instructional designers and subject matter experts.
· Leverage instructional technology to enhance teaching and learning through multimedia, interactive tools, and learning management systems (e.g., Agilix Buzz, Canvas, Schoology).
· Ensure curriculum meets state and national standards (e.g., CCSS, NGSS, state-specific standards) and follows best practices in K–12 pedagogy.
· Oversee quality assurance processes to maintain consistency, accessibility (WCAG 2.1), and engagement across all course materials.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage project timelines, resource allocation, and platform requirements.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or related field.
· 3+ years of experience managing instructional design or curriculum development teams, preferably in a K–12 environment.
· Deep knowledge of instructional design models and digital learning platforms.
· Proficiency with instructional authoring tools and learning management systems.
· Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with technical and creative teams.
