Responsibilities:
- Flowcell manufacturing, process development and assembly.
- Facilitate senior engineers in SolidWorks design.
- Dimensional and mechanical measurements, including data analysis and reporting.
- Surface metrology and characterization.
- Component testing, quality checks, and visual inspection.
- Sample preparation for external analysis.
- Component and subcomponent inventory management; shipping preparation and receiving.
In summary, this role will have a focus on supporting multiple engineering activities in a timely manner, to support the needs of the project as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associates or Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline from an accredited institution
- 0-2 years of professional experience required, but hands-on lab experience is preferred
- Microfabrication, microfluidics and materials knowledge or experience is also a plus.
- Excellence in familiarity with SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or equivalent required.
- Familiarity with metrology or microscopy equipment is also a big plus.
