Digital Production Artist
Compensation Range: $62,400 Year
REQUIREMENTS:
• Command of basic design theories and concepts including a higher understanding of the following: visual massing of information and elements in a layout, visual flow and balance, multi-layered grid system, spatial balance and relationships of elements, perspective, lighting and white space
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud apps for Mac, with in-depth knowledge of Photoshop, including use of Smart Objects, masking and clipping, ability to extend backgrounds, replace visual components, create composite images, adjust shading and reflections
• Familiarity with AI-assisted image enhancement
• Hard drive, file management, server navigation and archival knowledge
• Ability to use FTP programs and vendor extranets
• Exceptionally strong organizational skills and memory for details
• Ability to work autonomously in a very fast-paced environment, manage multiple jobs under extremely tight deadline and budget requirements, and reprioritize workload quickly and appropriately
• Experience working as part of a team, and communicating with teammates verbally and in writing
OVERVIEW:
This person will be responsible for the creation, update and management of large sets of digital assets. Weekly project load may include as many as 10 projects, consisting of dozens of images each. The Sr. DPA will work closely with other Production Artists, Designers, Copywriters, Account Executives and Creative Directors.
PROJECTS:
• Locating visual assets on web libraries and downloading them for use by the team
• Creation of new assets that consist of type, iconography and photography
• Correct naming of files based on established naming and versioning convention
• Updating images in response to verbal and written feedback by internal team and clients
• Brainstorming and interaction with teammates, Creative Directors and AEs on individual projects
• Attendance at regular progress meetings on all assigned creative projects
• Maintenance of clear hourly time expenditures
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This is an in-office position located at our Elk Grove Village, IL location. Candidate must be able to work in the office full time.

Essential Job Duties
The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast paced, ever changing environment, able to stay organized and focused as priorities shift, and have a can-do attitude toward every project. Overtime hours may be required and candidate must be comfortable with meeting deadlines on short notice. Primary activities will be focused around the following:
• Locating visual assets on web libraries and downloading them for use by the team
• Creation of new assets that consist of type, iconography and photography
• Correct naming of files based on established naming and versioning convention

Skills/Qualifications
• Familiarity with digital file formats including PSD, PNG, JPG, GIF, PDF
• Experience manipulating & compositing imagery and formatting type
• Experience creating digital assets for web
• Understanding of smart objects and masking (layer masks, clipping groups & opacity masks)
• Understanding of basic design fundamentals including alignment, perspective, lighting and white space
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud apps for Mac: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat
• Basic hard drive, file management server navigation and archival knowledge
• Ability to use FTP programs and vendor extranets
• Exceptionally strong organizational skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a very fast-paced environment, manage multiple jobs under extremely tight deadline and budget requirements, and reprioritize workload quickly and appropriately
• Experience working as part of a team, and communicating with teammates verbally and in writing
• Photo retouching skill helpful but not required
Education/Experience
• AA degree or 3+ years equivalent work experience

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and printers. The following physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift/push/pull office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
