We’re looking for a talented and driven Interior Design Sales Consultant to join our team. This is a commission-based position with no cold-calling—our longstanding presence in the community means a steady stream of high-quality leads. You'll be matched with independent interior designers, architects, and builders who have come to rely on Rockville Interiors as their go-to source for executing their design vision for high-end clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-home and in-showroom design consultations with interior designers, architects, builders, and their clients and close profitable sales
- Guide clients through fabric selection for reupholstery, bedding, and window treatments
- Become product experts for branded window treatments we sell including Lutron and Hunter Douglas
- Build and nurture client relationships to drive repeat and referral business
- Generate proposals, process orders, and manage project timelines with attention to detail
- Collaborate with our workroom and production teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Maintain accurate records and follow-ups in our sales and project management systems
- Stay organized and proactive in a fast-paced, design-focused environment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in luxury goods, design, or home-related industries
- Passion for interior design—formal training is a plus but not required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confident communication style
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed for client appointments
