The Opportunity
We’re growing our in-house hardware design and development capabilities towards building products that offer greater comfort and utility to our users. As part of this distinguished engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work on health technology projects directly, lead innovation from concept to product, and grow your skills in a collaborative environment with electrical, industrial, and materials science engineers. This role necessitates creative problem solving, deep teamwork, and the desire to execute engineering projects with excellence.
Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities
- Rapidly iterate design concepts to functional prototypes using first principles, simulation and design tools, and physical measurement tools
- Follow and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hardware infrastructure development, test reporting, and presentation
- Validation of device hardware and test infrastructure against product requirements
- Perform component and full assembly tolerance, stress-strain, and motion analysis
- Hands on rapid prototyping, fabrication, and assembly
- Coordinate projects with internal and external engineering and manufacturing partners
- Support projects under Good Manufacturing Practices and DFM
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in ME, EE, BME, or in a related field. Or, demonstrated industry experience working as a mechanical engineer.
- Demonstrated experience with Mechanical design, CAD, and Finite Element Analysis using industry standard tools such as SOLIDWORKS, Ansys, Creo, COMSOL, etc.
- Design experience for human UI/UX interface, wearable sensors, personal audio, medical devices, robotics, etc.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, design for manufacturability (DFM), and QA
- Basic 3D printing, machine shop, and soldering skills
- Good communication, documentation, teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and willingness to gain new skills
- Ability to work on-site in Mountain View, CA
- Must have the ability to work in the US without sponsorship
