Position Summary:
Infinitas Engineering Inc. is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to support US Department of Defense training system development activities. This position will involve software development, including requirement analysis, conceptual design and development, software implementation, integration and testing, in a team environment. This position will also involve understanding and implementing mathematical and scientific formulas and has the potential to include working with Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Involved in software development life-cycle phases including requirements analysis, software design, software development, and testing
- Develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematics
- Produce code that is understandable, maintainable, and follows best practice coding standards
- Performing and participating in design and code reviews
- Developing and maintaining necessary documentation
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be a US citizen
- Must currently possess, or be capable of obtaining, an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance. Current clearance is preferable
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent discipline
- 2+ years of experience in Java, C/C++, or similar Object-Oriented Language
- 2+ years of experiences in software design and development, integration and testing, as well as software trouble shooting and technical documentation generation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to write clean code and code documentation
- Working knowledge of agile software development life cycle
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) Simulations
- Integrated development environments (e.g., Visual Studio or Eclipse)
- Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
- Software Configuration Management tools (e.g. Git, Subversion)
- Development tracking software (e.g. Jira)
- Experience in Virtual Reality / Augmented Reality
- Game Engines (e.g. Unity and Unreal)
- GraphQL
- Interoperability Protocols
- Experience with OpenGL, DirectX, shader development (GLSL, HLSL)
Desired Skills:
- Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
- Aptitude to learn new technologies, concepts, principles and solutions
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Required:
