Associate / Senior Analyst – Investments (Corporate Finance Focus)
Washington DC-Baltimore Area
Base: $110,000 – $130,000
The Company
We are a leading real estate investment firm. Unlike traditional real estate investors, our greatest analysts have migrated from fledging careers in corporate finance and business underwriting NOT bricks and mortar.
The Role
As an Associate / Senior Analyst, you’ll join a lean, high-performing team responsible for sourcing, evaluating and underwriting new investment opportunities. Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Running full three-statement models to stress-test tenant business plans
- Conducting management interviews and market diligence (supplier checks, competitor mapping, channel analysis)
- Building and refining financial models in Excel (Python a plus but not essential)
- Supporting due diligence and investment committee materials
You’ll work directly with the Head of Investments and two outstanding Analysts, with plenty of exposure and responsibility from day one. This is an environment where intellectual curiosity is valued, and where people “earn and learn” at pace.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re not looking for traditional real estate backgrounds. Instead, you’ll likely come from:
- Investment Banking (coverage, leveraged finance, M&A)
- Corporate or commercial banking (credit analysis, underwriting)
- Other corporate finance roles with deep analytical focus
You’ll bring:
- 1–3 years’ experience post-graduation, although we are happy to consider more experience
- Strong technical ability (modelling, financial statement analysis)
- A healthy dose of scepticism and rigour – no “fluffy narratives” here
- Hunger to learn, work ethic, and curiosity
Why Join?
- Competitive comp: $110,000–$130,000 base + uncapped bonus (25% is typical, but you can do more)
- High exposure: work directly with senior leadership in a flat, entrepreneurial team
- Career growth: our alumni have gone on to top-tier investing roles after cutting their teeth here
- Culture: hands-on leadership, high standards, no BS
This is a role for people who want to apply finance in a real, tangible context, working with businesses that underpin the real assets economy.
