Position Purpose
Mercy Care is seeking a creative and detail-oriented
Marketing Communications Assistant to support our Strategic Communications and Visual & Digital Communications Leads. This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, design, and community impact, and who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
What You Will Do
You’ll contribute to internal and external communications, assist in creating digital and print content, and help maintain brand consistency across platforms. Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and editing content for newsletters, social media, and press releases
- Supporting visual asset creation (flyers, infographics, presentations)
- Updating website and intranet content
- Assisting with event logistics and promotional materials
- Performing administrative tasks and maintaining organized archives
- Ensuring all communications align with Mercy Care’s brand and tone
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or administrative support
- Strong writing and editing skills; AP style familiarity preferred
- Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with social media platforms and CMS tools
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Commitment to equity, compassion, and community service
