2026 Summer Internship Program - Sales & Trading
Job Description
Within Trading, Sales and Financial Engineering (Global Markets), Summer Interns work in a dynamic environment with exposure to senior management. The two rotational placements are determined through interview feedback and business needs before the internship begins. You may have the opportunity to work with teams across the value chains focused on a wide variety of clients including but not limited to Corporates, Hedge Funds, Banks, etc. On-the-desk training will teach you more about the products, risk assessment techniques, pricing fundamentals, and client interactions necessary to become a Program Analyst.
Internship placements may include teams across Global Markets Sales & Trading, but are not limited to: Interest Rate Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Credit, Securities Financing, Equity Derivatives. Your internship coordinator and assigned managers will ensure that you work on a mix of projects and deal activity over the10-week program so that you are best positioned to understand the world of finance.
This program targets candidates in their third year of undergraduate studies (class of 2026) with a high level of academic achievement , who are interested in working within a rapidly changing and demanding, but ultimately rewarding environment. The ideal candidate should have an understanding in the following key areas:
• Financial analysis: Proficiency in financial modeling, demonstrating capability for analysis and strategic thinking; working knowledge of credit risk, financial analysis and modeling is a plus
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to changes in the financial markets, industry dynamics, and company strategies
• Communication skills: Effective communication skills-both verbal & written
• Problem solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and make sound recommendations based on available data
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with others
• Initiative: Willingness and ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial, team-based environment
• Industry Knowledge: A basic knowledge of how the markets work and an understanding of important related fields (e.g., accounting, economics, corporate finance) is a plus
• Time Management: Effective organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Candidates must be able to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Natixis will not sponsor visas for these positions and will not hire individuals whose work eligibility is based on their F-1 or other student visa status.
The salary for this program is $43.27 per hour.
