St. Martin’s Publishing Group is seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and resourceful Marketing Assistant. SMPG excels at finding books with commercial appeal across a wide variety of genres. This role will support St. Martin’s Press, Minotaur Books, and St. Martin’s Essentials so candidates should have a strong interest in both fiction and nonfiction. We are a close-knit team that collaborates on titles ranging from biographies, memoirs, and history to mystery, thriller, and true crime.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with the VP of Marketing and the team to plan, develop, and implement marketing campaigns for both fiction and nonfiction titles
- Assist in the creation of sales and promotional assets
- Coordinate mailings to industry professionals, consumers, and influencers
- Assist in seasonal planning including ARC distribution, catalog marketing plans, and maintaining budgets
- Collaborate across publicity, editorial, operations, and the creative studio departments
- Help manage in-house social media and community sites
What You'll Bring
- Familiarity with Photoshop, Canva, WordPress, Microsoft Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Strong capacity to collaborate in a team environment
Ideal Experience
- Experience in publishing and/or marketing (Preferred)
This role will have an annual salary of $50,000.
