Build Your Future in Real-Time Data and AI Personalization
Adobe’s RTCDP delivers real-time personalization for millions of users worldwide. As a Junior Software Engineer on the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) team, you’ll join a collaborative group of engineers building data platforms that support digital experiences on a global scale. This role is an opportunity to start your engineering career, learn from experienced mentors, and contribute meaningfully to innovative systems.
What You Will Learn And Support
- Distributed Systems Support: Assist with the development and testing of systems that manage customer identities and consent.
- AI Personalization Projects: Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to integrate and validate AI/ML-powered features, contributing to segmentation and recommendations.
- Data Pipelines: Help build and monitor data flows, using tools like Kafka and Spark, while learning about low-latency, high-throughput architectures.
- Microservices Foundations: Participate in the design, coding, and maintenance of scalable cloud-based services.
- Project Participation: Work on end-to-end software development tasks, including design, implementation, and support, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Communicate and work effectively with product managers, designers, and other teams to deliver reliable solutions.
Your Technical Playground

- Frameworks & Infrastructure: Spring Boot, Apache Spark, Kafka, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker
- AI/ML Exposure: OpenAI, Vector DBs, ML architectures (with mentorship)
- DevOps: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience writing code in Java, Scala, or another programming language (internships/class projects welcomed).
- Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and basic software engineering concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and drive to learn.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to any data platform, cloud services, or real-time frameworks is a plus.
- Interest in AI/ML, cloud-native architectures, or personalization technologies.
- Understanding of data privacy concepts (GDPR/CCPA) helpful but not required.
- Willingness to ask questions, seek feedback, and grow through mentorship.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $113,400 -- $206,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
