Role Overview:
The New York trading team is part of a global Trading team and is responsible for the execution of USD assets for clients across the Insight global footprint. Traders are responsible for ensuring our execution outcomes meet our regulatory requirements and for representing our clients with honesty and integrity in the financial markets. The trading team is also responsible for identifying and sharing market intelligence and for the development of tools that could be used to improve our investment outcomes and processes.
This role will be an integral part of the trading team working to design and build prototypes to automate and optimize workflows and the use of trading protocols. Over time, this person will take on responsibility for ecommerce and will work to ensure the team's broker and algorithm selection is optimized and work to apply these concepts to the broad range of assets traded by the US trading team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Apply coding skills to automate and streamline workflows
- Help develop and build prototypes for new initiatives
- Execute USD fixed income assets
- Assist with monitoring financial market microstructure and identifying opportunities to improve trading outcomes and the efficiency of trading processes
- Develop knowledge and expertise across the asset mix traded by the desk
- Build and maintain relationships with our external counterparties and with various internal groups within Insight
Experience required:
- Ability and willingness to code in python and other languages
- Advanced analytical skills and ability to communicate ideas effectively
- Attention to detail and a proven history of adhering to the highest of ethical standards
- Flexibility and willingness to develop expertise in multiple asset classes
- Good interpersonal skills and willingness to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external service providers
- Advanced mathematical and computer science skills
- Familiarity with the application of technology to financial markets
- Some finance coursework a plus

Under New York City pay transparency law we are required to indicate the base salary range for this role of USD 90,000 to 100,000. Any offer of employment will be made based upon the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate and the base salary offered could be higher or lower than indicated.
