Overview of Role & Key Responsibilities
Superstep Capital seeks an investment professional with 2+ years of investment banking (and/or private equity) experience to support the assessment of M&A opportunities, conduct market and company research, and build detailed financial models. The role will involve analyzing market-leading technology services companies, contributing to due diligence processes, and preparing investment materials. This role will work closely with senior team members on transaction execution and portfolio initiatives, gaining exposure to all aspects of the investment process in a growing, entrepreneurial private equity firm.

- Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential investments.
- Conduct industry, sub-sector, and company-specific research.
- Assist in due diligence, coordinating third-party advisors and reviewing key documents.
- Draft investment presentations, memos, and fundraising materials.
- Support deal execution, including valuation, structuring, and negotiations.
- Prepare and analyze portfolio company performance and board materials in collaboration with management.
- Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to financial reporting, analysis, and template development.
- Contribute to investor relations through quarterly valuations, reporting, and analyses.
- Support firm-wide initiatives and ad hoc projects across deals, portfolio management, and operations.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone with an entrepreneurial mindset to be part of a fast growing team. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional experience in investment banking (and/or private equity), with solid M&A transaction execution exposure.
- Strong financial modeling skills and working knowledge of valuation and deal structures.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey insights to teammates, external stakeholders, and portfolio company management.
- Interest in technology and/or professional services markets, with intellectual curiosity and willingness to build expertise.
- Entrepreneurial mindset – comfortable wearing many hats, thriving in a lean environment, and taking initiative in ambiguous situations.
- Team-oriented approach with eagerness to learn from and collaborate with senior investment professionals.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA not required.
- Position is based in New York City, but remote-flexible.
- Ability for occasional travel.
