We’re partnering with a leading middle-market private equity fund to appoint an Operating Executive for one of their fastest-growing environmental services platforms. The business is a national roll-up of environmental and industrial services providers, now scaling rapidly through both organic growth and M&A.
This role is ideal for someone currently in management consulting or private equity who’s eager to transition into an operational role within a portfolio company and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This role will work closely with the CEO and investment team to drive operational excellence, build scalable infrastructure, and execute value-creation initiatives across the platform. This is a hands-on role - balancing strategic oversight with deep operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CEO and private equity sponsor to execute on strategic initiatives and professionalize systems, processes, and teams
- Lead transformation and integration initiatives across new acquisitions
- Establish and track KPIs, reporting cadence, and operational dashboards
- Build scalable back-office, HR, and finance infrastructure to support growth
- Act as the “bridge” between management and the investment team
Ideal Profile:
- 6-10+ years’ experience in management consulting, private equity, corporate development, or operational roles within PE-backed businesses
- Exposure to industrial, environmental, or blue-collar services preferred
- Track record leading PMO, integration, or transformation programs
- High EQ and ability to lead through influence in lean, fast-paced settings
- Strong financial and analytical acumen; comfort with both board-level and frontline work
- MBA a plus
