The Workday Data Consulting Services Manager should be a “go to” practice leader, expected to provide expert guidance to the Consulting management team and their subsequent project team members. You will “bridge the gap” between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. You will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation. This individual will assist the sales team with sales activities, such as orals, estimations, and Statements of Work (SOWs). This person works closely with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Managing Consultants, and leads, and acts as a liaison between the Consulting team and executive management. This person will assist in identifying business needs and ensuring that the work/life balance of our consultants is monitored and adjusted appropriately.
Responsibilities:
Project Oversight:

Oversight responsibility for Workday projects across the practice.

Oversee and assist engagement/project managers and team members when needed to identify project needs, reduce risk and develop solutions and strategies.
Sales Support:
Project Work:

Guide the customer through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the customer’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project.

Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to Workday HCM & Financials solutions.

Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, your project team, and your Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.

Willingness to take a leadership position on a project.

Drive internal initiatives to build a stronger team.

Display your hands-on expertise of the software, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.

Utilize your technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates.

Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments.
Skills & Requirements:

Must be Workday certified for Data Conversion

Possess 3-5 years of Workday (or other ERP) Consulting implementation experience.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work environments.

Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished.

Possess sales engagement experience estimating and presenting to prospects.

Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed
Salary and Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until 01/7/2026 The annual salary for this position is between $169,769 - $212,441 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
