YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
CELINE is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support the finance team in driving the company’s performance.
This role will assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities, contributing to meaningful insights that help guide business decisions.
The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and eager to learn about luxury retail operations in a dynamic environment.
This position is based in New York City at 598 Madison Avenue, reporting to the FP&A Manager.
The role follows a hybrid schedule of four days in the office and one day remote.
Your impact - Financial Close and Cost Control
- Support the monthly closing process in collaboration with the accounting team and the rest of the FP&A team.
- Prepare journal entries and accruals (e.g., inventory, expenses, recurring expenses, etc.).
- Perform variance analysis between actuals, budget, and prior year to identify key drivers.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial deliverables including:
- P&L by channel and store
- Balance sheet and cash flow reporting
- Cost center tracking and analysis
- Forecasting / budgeting
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic reforecasts.
- Collect and consolidate data from departments to ensure accurate financial inputs.
- Maintain and update reports in the budgeting system.
- Support the creation of presentations and summaries for management review.
- Business partnership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Retail, Merchandising, HR, etc.) to gather information and provide financial visibility.
- Help prepare performance reports and analysis for internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to identifying risks and opportunities through data-driven insights.
- Ad hoc analysis and Special projects
- Support financial analyses related to:
- Retail performance and productivity
- Investment tracking and benchmarking
- Store and channel profitability
- Assist in the calculation and validation of retail commissions.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and financial tool enhancements.
Profile
Keys for success Education: Bachelor's degree in finance required Experience: Required fluency in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of French a plus 0–2 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or similar finance functions. Retail Knowledge a plus. Advanced Excel skills and other MS software, including strong PowerPoint for presentation preparation required Preferred experience with ERP systems including JDE, Cegid and Dynamics. Organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills are a must Strong verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated to learn new concepts and oriented towards achieving results Must work well independently and in a team environment, and in a fast-paced organization Competencies: Superior organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented, highly organized Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization including senior leadership and retail associates Languages: Fluent in English, French is a plus.

CELINE recruits and recognizes all types of talent and singularities.
The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000- $95,000 annually. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
