- Engage directly with strategic Cloud and Enterprise customers to understand technical and business requirements, validate product direction, and build trusted advisor relationships
- Articulate the differentiated value proposition of our solutions, combining hardware capabilities, software innovation, and business advantages
- Lead technical discussions and solution presentations with customer executives and technical decision-makers
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Consulting Engineers
- Work collaboratively with sales leadership to align technical and business strategies, accelerate deal cycles, and maximize win rates
- Influence product roadmap decisions based on customer insights, competitive analysis, and emerging technology trends
- Partner with marketing on product launches, industry events, thought leadership content, and solution positioning
- Drive alignment across product management, professional services, and support organizations to ensure seamless customer experiences
- Understand P&L impact of each solution proposal, adjusting accordingly to maximize company profitability while maintaining competitiveness
You have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
- 15+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture or network design and/or operations roles, 5+ years of people management experience, including leading senior technical employees and distributed teams
- Deep technical knowledge of IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), switching technologies (VLAN, VXLAN, EVPN), and data center architectures
- Strong understanding of the merchant silicon options in the market and their applicability in Data Center and WAN networks
- Deep understanding of modern operations practices such as model-driven management, telemetry, gRPC interfaces and open-source tools
- Strong understanding of Cloud and Enterprise customer requirements, procurement processes, and buying centers. Excellent communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders
- Business acumen including P&L management, financial modeling, and deal structuring. Willingness to travel up to 30% for customer meetings and industry events
It would be nice if you also had
- Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or technical field. Experience in similar roles at other networking vendors or high-growth networking startups
- Direct experience selling networking solutions to cloud and enterprise customers. Knowledge of SDN architectures, network automation, and infrastructure-as-code principles
- Understanding of AI/ML infrastructure requirements and GPU networking. Experience with open-source networking projects (SONiC, FRR, OpenConfig). Familiarity with data center interconnect (DCI) and optical networks
