Job Summary
DEYO is seeking a talented Designer to assist in the project load for the next few months. This is a contract position that has potential to extend beyond if the fit is right. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and a passion for creating exceptional spaces based on client needs. DEYO works on both architectural and interior design projects and is looking for someone with a background in either to help assist the owner in a couple larger upcoming projects. This position would mostly be remote, with the ideal candidate living within a comfortable driving distance to Eau Claire for project site visits and other on site needs.
Responsibilities
- Utilize design software such as Revit, Chief Architect, or similar to create detailed designs and technical drawings for interior design and architectural projects.
- Drawings provided include elevations, sections, floor plans, finish plans, RCP, cabinetry and finish details, and specification schedules.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs align with construction requirements and specifications.
- Project space planning from initial layout to final product selections.
- Basic knowledge of construction in order to create details that contractors can easily build from.
- Ability to create renderings of project concepts.
- Review and revise designs based on feedback from owner.
- Maintain organized documentation of all design processes and revisions.
Requirements
- Proficiency in design software including at least one of the following: Revit, Chief Architect, or similar.
- Located in Wisconsin or Minnesota and knowledge of local and national building codes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with owner.
- Attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and accuracy in all design work.
- A degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field is preferred but not mandatory depending on experience.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
