Job Overview
We have an opening for a part-time Graphic Design Assistant to help with marketing responsibilities of executing the creation of sales materials such as brochures, posters and potentially a company catalog. This position is on-site and takes directions from the Marketing Specialist. The role would be ideal for a young adult in Jr/Sr years of college or early college graduate that has training on design platforms but needs real world experience to build a portfolio or maybe looking to grow with our company. Our company started as Athletic Depot, supplying equipment for contractors that build athletic fields and courts. With the pandemic shutting down schools, our founder pivoted to an industry that keeps moving and started Traffic Depot. Traffic Depot creates traffic signs and custom signs in-house. Sells and rents paint striping equipment to mark roads and parking lots, in addition to all supplies needed for traffic control construction. Fortunately, we are growing and could use some help! The role will start with 5-10 hours per week, but could increase up to 20 hours per week, if needed, and it works for the Design Assistant’s schedule.
Requirements
- Proficiency in a design platform like Adobe Illustrator and/or Canva •
- Accuracy in English spelling and grammar •
- Excellent communication skills •
- Accuracy in spacial placement with an understanding of design elements and layouts
- US work authorization
- Reliable transportation
- The ability to take direction constructive feedback and make edits in a timely manner
- Work as a collaborative team and just as well independently
- Meet deadlines
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
