Who We Are
At Red Kite Brands, we believe packaging isn’t just a box, it’s a brand moment. Every curve, color, and finish tells a story about who we are and what we stand for.
We move fast, think big, and design with purpose. Our packaging isn’t an afterthought - it’s how millions of people first experience our snacks. That’s why we obsess over the details from the typography, the layout, the feel. All because we know great design creates that instant “WOW”.
Here, creativity meets precision. You’ll join a team that values craftsmanship as much as innovation; a team that designs with intention, collaborates with energy, and pushes boundaries to bring bold ideas to life.
What You'll Do
As our Production Designer, you’ll turn ideas into print-ready packaging that hits shelves on time and on brand. You’ll oversee every packaging project from revision to release, acting as the quarterback between Design, QA, Operations, and Business Management to ensure flawless execution.
Each new launch is a project — and you’ll be the lead responsible for keeping it moving, troubleshooting print files, and ensuring timelines are met without sacrificing quality.
You’ll bring structure to creativity by maintaining our design filing system, streamlining print approvals, and constantly improving how we organize, track, and deliver our work.
This role is perfect for someone who loves design but finds equal satisfaction in order, systems, and execution — where every file, every color, and every proof matters.
Responsibilities:
- Review, troubleshoot, and finalize print-ready packaging files for new product launches.
- Execute artwork revisions - from iconography and image composition to typography and layout.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, QA, Operations, and Business Management to route and track artwork progress, ensuring project timelines are met.
- Coordinate directly with suppliers and printers to prepare and deliver print-ready artwork, review all pre-press materials and proofs, and act as the creative liaison between internal teams and manufacturing.
- Maintain and continually improve the design filing system for easy, professional access and organization.
- Streamline the print approval process in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Support the design team with mockups, renders, image retouching, and layout updates.
- Manage multiple packaging versions across retailers, countries, and product lines.
- Capture and edit product photography for packaging, marketing, and internal use.
Technical Skills:
- Previous experience in graphic design, production design, or pre-press (CPG experience preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.).
- Experience with printing processes, materials, color management (CMYK, Pantone), and production constraints.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with studio or tabletop product photography, including lighting and editing.
What Makes You Great in This Role:
- Passion for design - you love refining color, layout, and detail until it’s perfect.
- Passion for organization and process - systems and structure excite you.
- Passion for project management - you can track multiple moving parts with ease.
- Passion for continuous improvement - always finding faster, smarter ways to work.
- Bonus: a love for food and understanding what makes a product visually craveable.
Preferred:
- Experience in food packaging design (bonus points for snacks!).
- Background in product photography or styling.
- Strong visual storytelling skills that connect brand to consumer in seconds.
