Job Summary:
Throughout the design/build process, the Design Coordinator will work with the client, Architectural Design staff, Project Managers, and Superintendents to create functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces that adhere to blueprints, building codes, budgets, and inspection requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for the space to be designed.
- Oversee the selection timeline to ensure clients stay on schedule, enabling Superintendents to order and coordinate materials promptly.
- Collaborates with Project Managers, Architectural Design staff to further understand how interior space should function, appear, and be furnished.
- Prepares sketches or other visual aids to demonstrate preliminary designs to client.
- Consults with client to select materials, furnishings, and decor.
- Orders or sources minor cosmetic materials and furnishings as needed.
- Uses design applications to prepare and illustrate renderings for client presentations.
- Determines timelines and project costs as requested by the Superintendent.
- Oversee the timely design of WCI built custom cabinetry.
- Oversee the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements.
- Ensure client satisfaction by making periodic site visits throughout the project as needed.
- Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior and exterior design.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field experience required; coursework in computer-aided design (CAD) highly preferred.
- Interior design certification highly preferred.
- At least one year of related experience required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
