What You Get to Do:
Lead consulting and design for structured cabling and OSP from concept through construction documents
Build system narratives, specifications, and drawing sets in Bluebeam and related tools
Coordinate telecom spaces with architecture, mechanical, and electrical so rooms are right the first time
Collaborate in IPD settings with A/E and GC partners
Create schedules, scope matrices, milestones, and keep the critical path honest
Track issues and risks, surface mitigations early, and align scope to contract
Manage subs, budgets, and documentation with clean QC on every deliverable
Read and interpret RFPs, translate to clear scope and fee assumptions, support proposals and interviews
Own client touchpoints end to end, capture feedback, and fold lessons learned into the next package
What You’ve Already Done:
4 to 6+ years focused on telecommunications infrastructure design
Hands-on structured cabling design across backbone and horizontal with OSP exposure
Delivered full packages: narratives, layouts, spec sections; coordinated with A/E teams
Worked in data centers plus healthcare and education or similar complex facilities
Applied TIA/EIA and BICSI guidelines; comfortable with NEC, NFPA, and local codes
Built schedules and budgets, managed sub-consultants, and documented decisions
Read RFPs and articulated scope, schedule, and fee drivers
Worked effectively in virtual teams using shared design tools and version control
Preferred certifications: RCDD and/or BICSI OSP; PMP or CAPM
