Finance Rotational Program
Job Summary
Axalta’s Finance Rotational Program is designed to accelerate the development of early-career finance professionals through immersive, structured rotations across Corporate, Business, and Operational Finance functions. Participants gain broad exposure to key finance disciplines, building strong technical and leadership capabilities while establishing a solid foundation for long-term career growth within Axalta.
Throughout the program, participants will work alongside experienced finance professionals who provide hands-on learning, mentorship, and guidance to support personal and professional growth. They will collaborate across functions, engage with executive leadership and commercial business units, and play an active role in driving financial performance and shaping their own career paths.
Targeted locations are the following:
- Glen Mills, PA
- Philadelphia, PA
- Troy, MI
Program Duration & Structure
- Over the course of the program, participants will complete three rotations, each lasting 12–18 months, across key areas of Finance.
- Rotations may cover areas such as corporate FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), accounting/controllership, internal audit, treasury, business finance, strategic finance, operations finance, tax, and investor relations.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on the rotation, responsibilities may include:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements
- Build financial models, forecasts, and budgets
- Perform variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and trend analysis
- Partner with functional leaders to deliver insights on business performance, cost optimization, and strategic initiatives
- Facilitate the execution of financial processes such as monthly closes, audits, and operational reviews
- Support internal and external financial reporting
- Participating in cost control, profitability or cost accounting initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, sales, supply chain, etc.)
- Work on ad-hoc projects (e.g. process improvement, business cases)
- Engage in cash forecasting and liquidity planning initiatives
- Prepare presentations / business reviews for management or key stakeholders
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (recent graduate or within ~1-year post-graduation) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field. Some programs accept relevant work experience or internships as a plus.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of financial concepts; ability to build and work with financial models.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint (or equivalent) for presentations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well in teams, and to interface with internal stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-motivated, with intellectual curiosity. Adaptability for changing priorities.
- Willingness to relocate / travel, depending on the rotation.
