About the Role
We’re looking for a Finance & Business Operations Lead to join our lean, high-impact team. Reporting to the VP of Finance, Operations & Customer Success, this person will own the day-to-day finance and business operations of the company, while also driving cross-functional strategic initiatives that shape our growth trajectory.
This is a broad, hands-on role that blends finance, product analytics, and operations. You’ll be deeply involved in helping the company scale, including streamlining processes, informing strategic decisions, and ensuring financial rigor as we grow. Strategic Finance
- Own budget tracking, forecasting, and annual planning in partnership with our external accounting and tax partners.
- Develop dashboards and reporting to monitor key financial and operational metrics.
- Support fundraising, investor updates, and board reporting with high-quality analyses and materials.
- Partner with department leads to manage spend, headcount planning, and vendor relationships.
Business Operations
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve company efficiency and decision-making (e.g., pricing, go-to-market operations, or resource planning).
- Drive implementation of scalable systems and processes across finance, operations, and analytics.
- Provide strategic insights through financial modeling, data analysis, and scenario planning.
Product & Sales Analytics
- Work with product, sales, and customer success teams to provide analytics and strategic and operational support to help grow Kira’s platform adoption and usage.
- Build analytical frameworks to evaluate growth experiments and business model innovations.
- Collaborate with leadership to define KPIs, track progress, and measure the impact of strategic decisions.
Who You Are
- 4–8 years of experience in finance, consulting, strategy, or business operations, ideally with exposure to high-growth startups or technology companies.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; comfort with data and Excel / Google Sheets is essential. SQL will be used often in this role - we don’t expect you to know SQL today, but you should want to learn quickly and get your hands dirty.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, sales, and operations teams.
- A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building from scratch.
- Entrepreneurial mindset - scrappy, resourceful, and eager to take ownership in a small team.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive compensation and equity. For applicants in the US, the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000, depending on relevant considerations like professional experience and related skillsets.
