Investment Professional – Specialty Finance

The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an Investment Professional to join their Specialty Finance Group. This role will focus on sourcing, evaluating, and managing both debt and equity investments across a diverse set of specialty finance verticals, such as:
- Consumer Finance: unsecured/secured installment loans, auto finance, and related consumer lending products
- Commercial Finance: small business lending, merchant cash advances, factoring, and asset-based lending
- Leasing: various leasing-related finance strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain exposure to a broad range of specialty finance and alternative investment asset classes
- Contribute to all stages of the investment lifecycle: origination, evaluation, underwriting, structuring, execution, and portfolio monitoring
- Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis on private credit and private equity opportunities
- Engage directly with management teams, financial sponsors, and internal stakeholders
- Work closely with senior professionals in small, collaborative deal teams, with opportunities for significant impact and responsibility
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience within the consumer finance space, particularly with installment lending, subprime/high APR lenders, or BNPL platforms
- Exposure to small business lending models, including MCAs and other niche commercial finance products
- Background in private equity, investment banking, credit analysis, consulting, or similarly rigorous, analytical environments
- Demonstrated academic and professional excellence
- Ownership mentality and ability to manage multiple aspects of the deal process independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Compensation:
A competitive compensation package, including base salary and performance-based bonus, will be offered and is commensurate with experience.
