Analyst – Portfolio Management & Originations

Pasadena Private Lending (“PPL”) is a non-bank private lender focused on lower middle-market businesses nationwide, offering first-lien commercial loans ranging from approximately $2.0MM to $15.0MM to companies typically generating $1.0MM to $5.0MM in EBITDA. PPL is part of Pasadena Private Financial Group (“PPFG”), a boutique multi-family office serving approximately 150 affluent families through integrated business lines that include wealth management, M&A advisory, retirement planning, real estate investment, and family office services. Together, PPL and PPFG serve as a comprehensive platform for building, preserving, and transferring wealth across generations.
We are seeking an Analyst to support both portfolio management and loan origination activities. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Credit and work alongside the analyst team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assess borrower compliance with loan reporting requirements and financial covenants
· Assist with reviewing and processing loan funding requests
· Leverage technology to enhance and automate portfolio management processes
Conduct financial analysis, covenant testing, and portfolio stress and sensitivity analysis
· Prepare internal credit and portfolio reporting, including data integrity checks and compliance tracking
· Participate in credit meetings, borrower site visits, and origination discussions
· Maintain internal dashboards and borrower data for real-time portfolio oversight
· Writing covenant compliance waivers and analyzing any portfolio loan issues
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
· 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, banking, or capital markets (credit experience preferred)
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization or automation tools is a plus
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a high level of attention to detail
· Ability to communicate effectively in a professional and fast-paced environment
· Interest in the private credit, direct lending, or lower middle-market finance space
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and includes health, dental, and retirement (401k) plans, and discretionary bonuses.
